With the highly anticipated ambiance and vibe that social media presented, I had high hopes for my dining experience. While there were some excellent aspects of my visit, I felt that a few areas could be improved. I visited Seven Reasons to celebrate my anniversary, and it is indeed a wonderful space for dining. The restaurant is adorned with greenery and ambient lighting, creating a romantic, date-night atmosphere. Our server was extremely helpful, providing my partner and me with several recommendations. While I understand the principles of upscale dining, I found some of the prices to be excessive given the portion sizes. I ordered the Not Your Average Pina Colada, which was delightful. I appreciated the innovation behind this drink, as it was partly foam. It was both sweet and strong. For appetizers, we selected the Oysters and the La Pisadora Tostada. The oysters were satisfactory, though nothing extraordinary, and the tostada was delicious, but I am uncertain if it justified the $21 price tag for a single serving. For our entrees, we ordered the Lomito con Aligote, which was tender and flavorful, with the yuca complementing it well. Despite its deliciousness, I found the portion size difficult to justify given the price. However, the Cavatelli and Lobster a la Huancaina was exceptional and well-priced. The portion size was filling, there was an abundance of lobster, and it was creamy, hitting all the right taste notes. Although I wish the portion sizes were more generous, my visit to Seven Reasons was memorable. However, I am unsure if I would choose to return.

While shopping and having dinner in the area the weekend prior, we saw this restaurant and based on how it looked at night, we decided that we wanted to give it a try, However, upon review of the menu, there was really nothing that resonated with our palate, so we decided to give Sunday Brunch a try. This time I did not view the menu before going, but I was assured that they had conventional breakfast items, so I would find something to try. We had reservations, so we were seated immediately at the table of our choice, which was great. We needed the perfect background aesthetic, so we had one of the first reservations of the day. Immediately after being seated, our beverage orders were taken. The drinks were brought to the table pretty fast. I ordered some passionfruit juice, sparkling bottled water and still bottled water. Since the menu was still just okay for me, I made a meal by ordering some sides, which included a waffle, scrambled egg whites and some avocado. Honestly, I did not think I could go wrong with breakfast, but I really did not enjoy it. The waffle was very small, lukewarm and something about the flavor was off. The scrambled egg whites were semi-scrambled, so they were a no for me as well. The avocado was truly the only part of the meal that I enjoyed and that was only a few slices. I also enjoyed the passionfruit juice. The prices in comparison to portion sizes were insane. Everything was overpriced, with very small portions and just not that good. The ambiance is lovely, service was fine and the location is superb, but the food that we ordered was just okay.

We ordered a la carte and everything we ate was amazing! My favorite was the Seven Reasons ceviche and my boyfriends steak was incredible. Our server did an excellent job recommending dishes and paid close attention to our needs while not overwhelming us with attention. The noise level was perfect-low but lively-and we loved that we could see into City Center while we dined. All in all, a great experience and worth every penny.

Came for happy hour and we definitely plan to come again for dinner. A must try is the ""Not your traditional pina colada". OMG talk about tropical fruity drink bliss. That foam/mousse on top is divine and the cardamom almost made it seem Indian which just made this desi girl's heart sing. Just glorious. The Old fashioned was, per my husband, a classic old fashioned. The Complimentary watermelon gazpacho was light, refreshing, and served in such cute martini glasses we got the Arepitas as a snack to nibble on. They were fried but not greasy. Cheesey without being overwhelming. Hubby just kept saying "on point" and silently ate most of it leaving me less than half. Sure it's pricey but we were out celebrating our anniversary and this was a great place to kick things off. Looking forward to coming back for dinner.

We went for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty empty but the ambience was veryyyy Miami-esque. There was the DJ bumpin' house/edm and a lot of plants + boho-chic decor. Not your typical DC brunch vibe but we enjoyed it! Food was good but a little disappointed. Nothing in particular stood out (unlike their dinner menu which I remember enjoying a lot). The shakshuka was very filling with a lot of chorizo (even though the portion looks small). We got the Venezuelan crab dip which is just normal crab dip. My friend got the chicken and waffle which was good but on the smaller side. "A trip in the woods" is just a large maitake mushroom. My friend enjoyed the flavors but was not expecting just one mushroom.

Went out with new coworkers and it was amazing. The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. The drinks were very cool and as someone who appreciates a good cocktail these definitely fit the bill. The Maître d' and our server, whose names I unfortunately did not get, were fantastic and so accommodating. The decore with the cherry blossoms was amazing. It wasn't too loud which was good since there were 5 at our booth. It was a tad dark once the sun went down but it wasn't enough to ruin the experience. The location was also easy to get to and had great views of City Center.

Came here for Happy Hour drinks with my friend and absolutely loved the ambiance! The dim lighting and colorful flower arrangements really brighten up the place for an intimate, exciting dining experience. We ordered the Passion Over Perfection cocktail - an immaculate blend of tequila, passion fruit, and peppery goodness. The bartender added a smoked rosemary on the side to bring out the spicy notes in the drink while also providing an aromatic experience. Appreciate all of the details! Strong, fruity, and flavorful. The drinks were around $14 each - a typical DC price. Well worth the experience of Seven Reasons. Would be excited to come back and try their food soon!

Double wow! Upon entry, I thought this was going to be just a "pregame a night out" lounge with loud music and basic food, but it was AMAZING!!!! Yes louder music but the food was delicious and everyone was enjoying themselves! The bar gave us glasses of rose as a "sorry for the wait" which was really nice. We were sat next to the bar, I was worried about foot traffic but it was fine! Though the menu is difficult to navigate, we ultimately decided on oysters and the octopus and lentils to start. The oysters were more fresh than ones I had on the wharf for lunch! And the octopus was cooked perfectly, just a small portion. The complimentary glass of squash soup is also a nice touch. For our entrees, we shared the lamb loin medium rare and the whole fried fish. Both exceptional. Great service, ambiance, and food. Would highly recommend!
